Do You Still Love Me?

The long hours,
ticking away one by one,
are filled with thoughts
of us together.
Having fun,
walking the streets of the City
in the fog
making love by firelight,
    talking about this,
    laughing about that ...
but everything together.

My thoughts drift to us today ...
    apart ...
alone.
I'm not sure what happened,
all I know is you're not here.

The long hours,
ticking away
slower than before.
My arms reaching out,
    but you're not there.
Where are you?
Why did you leave?
Will I ever see you again?
Do you still love me?
