Sanctuary
The countless hours
I've spent alone ...
thinking
of you.
Footprints
I've left on
the beach
serve as reminders
of
those lonely days.
Walking slowly
letting the surf rush
over my feet.
Slowly ...
slowly.
Slowly passes the
time
when I'm alone,
but it goes so fast
when
I'm with you.
Slowly,
like
a
wave making its way
towards
the shore,
yet it rushes
so fast
to
go
back to the sea.
The green field I
walk
through
surrounded by
the
tree covered hills,
offers a quiet
sanctuary
where
I can retreat
with
my thoughts of you.
Thoughts of
how much I
want you,
and how much I need
you,
and how much I love
you.
